Today is primarily spent visiting in and around the town of Kirkwall
You will visit St Magnus , Britains most northerly Cathedral
Directly accross the street are the ruins of Bishops and Earls Palaces
Before leaving Kirkwall, you will be taken on a guided tour of the Highland Park Distillery which has been producing a quality single malt whisky for over 220 years.
From Kirkwall you will travel the short distance to Lamb Hold to see the Italian Chapel, constructed by Italian POW's during the Second World War.
Following your visit to the Italian Chapel, you will head back towards Stromess passing the Churchill barriers
and then Scapa Flow
Upon your return to Stromness, you are on your own for dinner. Make plans with others or journey out on your own. There are a multitude of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Make sure you pack and are ready for the next day 6:30AM ferry departure
